There is a new look of the site. I hope you find it more professional looking. I picked the different colors for the image because there are so many different types of cancer and they are each represented by a color. I soon hope to develop my own image that will represent each color of cancer. Let me know what you think of the new site design. I will also be offering different site themes for the users. I should have them ready early 2008.

I updated the sites software about 20 minutes ago. It went well and I can’t see any issues. If you experience problems with anything please let me know. I have backups if there are problems.

Spam Software

I have updated all current blogs with spam protection. Also all future blogs will have this enabled by default. As a user of the site you won’t have to do anything to protect yourself from spam. This won’t get rid of all the spam but it help out a lot. If you have questions about it please let me know. Also I am working on a few other things too to reduce spam and the strange blogs being registered.

Site moving along

I’m happy to say that the site has been doing really good. Right now we have 2 blogs from 2 users. There have been 85 posts as of today with 156 comments. That’s not bad for just starting out and spreading by word of mouth. I’m hoping over the next few months to spread even more and get a few more users. I also had to ban a few email accounts. If you visit the site regularly then you noticed a couple blogs pop up about gambling. They were created by someone overseas, I have removed them from creating any more. The way the site is setup anyone with a valid email address can register a blog. This means that there will be blogs that are registered that shouldn’t be here. I’ll do my best to prevent this and delete them if they do show up.

Again I’m happy with how things are going. I’m going to be working on a few more things to add to the site. I hope together we can make this a place where people with cancer want to come and share their stories.

Thanks for stopping in. The site is very new and I’m still working out some of the bugs. So over the next month or so you might see changes with the look. It will be me trying to make it look the best possible. If you haven’t read some of the other things on the site this is a cancer patient blog site. Cancer has touched me over the past year with my grandma dying from it and now my mom has breast cancer. Any blogs not about the journey with cancer will be deleted. There are many other free blog places out there. But this is the only one dedicated to cancer patients.
